The DBE results page does not list an SMS service. To be confirmed. Do not pay a third party for your results.

A re-check confirms every answer was marked and every mark was added correctly. A re-mark means a new marker marks the script again. Your mark can go up or down.

1. Get your statement of results. Decide which subjects to query.
2. Apply between 12 and 25 January 2027. That is the window the Western Cape Education Department lists. Late applications are not accepted. Other provinces: confirm with your department.
3. Pay the fee first if your school is not a no-fee school. The WCED lists R130 per subject for a re-mark and R40 per subject for a re-check.
4. Apply online on the government eServices portal. The WCED accepts online applications only. It asks you to use a desktop or laptop with Google Chrome.
5. Upload your proof of payment as a PDF.
6. Wait for the re-mark result. If you still disagree, you can apply to view your script. The WCED requires this within seven days of the re-mark results. It costs R240 per subject and is not refundable.

The DBE also lists applications at your school or district office. Check what your own province accepts.

You can register to rewrite subjects in the June exam. In the Western Cape, registration for the June 2027 exam runs from 2 November 2026 to 5 February 2027. Other provinces: to be confirmed.

Start with real papers. Use the Grade 12 past papers by subject. Check where your marks leave you with the APS calculator. Funding for 2027 study runs through NSFAS. Its 2027 applications close on 31 October 2026, according to nsfas.org.za.
